Merlion – Sentosa Island – Singapore

The Merlion, a fantasy creature with a lion head and a fish body, is the symbol of Singapore. The original Merlion is a 8m tall statue located in Merlion Park. This 37 m tall replica is located on Sentosa Island and features two viewing galleries, one in the mouth and one on the head.


Sri Mariamman Hindu temple – Singapore

 

Sri Mariamman temple, built in 1827, is the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore. It is dedicated to the South Indian mother goddess Mariamman and was built in Dravidian style. Located in Chinatown, it is a popular tourist attraction of Singapore.
