Suomenlinna – Helsinki – Finland

 

Suomenlinna, a UNESCO world heritage site, is a sea fortress stretching out over 6 islands near Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The fortress was built in 1748 as protection against the Russians. Today the islands are a popular tourist attraction and home to about 900 people.
