Ta Prohm – Angkor – Cambodia

Ta Prohm (originally called Rajavihara) is a temple forming part of the Angkor complex near Siem Reap, built in the 12th and 13th century by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII. The building housed a Buddhist monastery and university. Today, Ta Prohm is among the most popular temples of Angkor, because it has been left largely untouched and is characterized by the trees that grow over the ruins.

  1. Fabulous shot! Wat Ta Prohm was one of my favourites during my 3 day tour around the Temples of Angkor.
